This is the most important advice I could ever give you: PLANT A GARDEN AND LET YOUR KIDS HAVE THEIR WAY WITH IT.
I don't care if you have an acre, a postage stamp or one pot on your balcony – kids think not about the size but are consumed with the excitement they can pull from the soil. We harvested the majority of our carrots over the weekend. They could have grown bigger but we were SOOO impatient to see what was hidden by months of worm poop and weeds. Our carrots are amazing this year and what's more? Oliver ate them by the handful. For a kid whose favorite meal is "sticky cereal and cupcakes" – watching him gobble down something naturally orange was joy enough for me. Urban gardening is one of the simple ways to enjoy summer. You don't need the extra grass to mow anyway – till it up, throw in some seeds and with very little effort your kids can be picking/eating outdoors June through September. - Jen

I was a little nervous about photographing a wedding last weekend. 95 degrees in full sun – I don't know who was more likely to melt – me or the bride. Here's the good news - Sammie and Chad planned a perfect day and it couldn't have been more flawless.
Here's a sneak peek. It's not too late to jump on my wedding schedule for the rest of 2015. 2016 Booking NOW! Also, don't forget that I take "Senior Pics!" ![]() Atta way Minneapolis. Be the first city in the nation to build a public "Natural Swimming Pool" - I dare you. The webber pool in North Minneapolis opened just 2 weeks ago and we give it 6 thumbs up (two for me, Ollie and Axel each). This gorgeous pool is not only cool to splash around in, it's good for our bodies and the environment. Completely without chemicals, the giant swimming plaza is completely filtered by a nearby filtration POND. It feels like you're swimming in a lake – minus the fish, weeds, rocks, sand, bugs and smell. This pool rocks! Click HERE for the hours and info. Then call us so we can go with you! |
